Absolutely brilliant service.
I went online to find a source for selling my MOT failed Mercedes SLK and arrived at sellthecar.com put in my registration plate number and had an e mail back with an offer. We spoke on the phone and I accepted the offer, they arranged collection of my car the following day and duly arrived on time, checked over the car and paperwork and arranged the money transfer into my bank before loading up my car. I am so impressed with the service and detail of this company together with the friendly helpful service from the staff both over the phone and the pick up driver. I have already passed on the details to a few friends who are interested in doing the same.

Impressive service at a difficult time
I was impressed by the quick response to my initial online enquiry with a phone call and a price straight away. It was done in a friendly manner and the damage to the car was clearly discussed and I was confident that it was all understood. Having had a few quotes during the day, this was still the best and so I called back next day to accept the offer. Our car was picked up the following day with an efficient service and money paid into bank account soon after. We thank you for making easy work of this after all that had happened at a decent price.

This is a fantastic service, needed to get rid of my project car that had sat for a couple of years untouched, I could have got more money for it if I had the the time, but time wasn't on my side as I was moving house and left it to the last minute! They quoted a price instantly and the car was picked up as arranged the next day, and the money was deposited within a couple of hours of the car being taken. Would highly recommend.

Absolutely brilliant - Valuation was great a (literally 15 times more than another well known car purchasing service). The guy who collected my vehicle (it was a non-runner) couldn't have been nicer. Completely stress-free transaction, no fees and the money was in my account before the vehicle left my property.

I was rather sceptical about the whole business to be honest plus the fact,I was going on holiday the very day my car was being picked up. I was given guaranteed price which again, I was sceptical about, but I received a text telling me when they would pick up. The man arrived at the given time my daughter said he was very nice, paperwork handed over and the money was paid into my account, hours later. Very relieved,and very impressed.

Excellent company to deal with!
I was so pleased that I came across this company on google. From start to finish, they have been nothing but professional and always so friendly when speaking on the phone.
They made the whole process so simple and were even able to meet me at my convenient time (which was quite a short gap between the school drop offs and pick ups). I would definitely recommend this company to everyone and feel that the price I was given for my car was above my expectation.

Excellent company to deal with. Outstanding customer service. Used them to dispose of a non running car and the process was very professional. The company they use to pick up the car was delaying the pick up but a quick email to Sell the Car had it sorted in minutes and the car was picked up as promised. Seldom seen such a fast response from any company. Highly recommended!

I sold my car with sellthecar.co.uk today. I was a bit nervous about selling my non working car like this because of all the car scamming stories you hear and they quoted quite a lot more than anywhere else I had tried so I thought it was too good to be true but they were really easy to deal with and very friendly. It was seamless from start to finish. The man from copart who came and loaded my car onto his vehicle was a really lovely man who was very friendly and professional. He rang me to let me know an estimated time and couldn't have been nicer. I was a bit worried when the payment didn't go in straight away because they said it should be in within 20 minutes (usually I wouldn't expect a payment that quickly, but that was what they said) I rang them a couple of times about it and the lady I spoke to did not brush me off at all. She was very helpful and polite and gave me the number to the payments department (I had also spoken to her earlier about the documents I needed to get ready and she had gone through that with me) When I spoke to the payments department they said they were running a bit behind but would make sure my payment went in in the next half an hour which it did. It was still in my account within 3 and a half hours. If that's behind then that's really good. Also I hadn't spoken to anyone about the amount of money I was getting since the original quote in the e-mail and I'm a bit cynical so was expecting less in my account but the original quote was what I got. Customer service and communication from this company are extremely good. I don't usually write reviews but my experience was so much better than expected.

I sold my BMW X5 to Sell The Car and they were extremely efficient and very easy to deal with. I really liked the no haggle promise which other such companies abuse. Sell The Car paid the price they offered in the first place. Unlike their rivals who is offer a higher price to lure you in then reduce the price when they are about to take the car away. I would definitely recommend them.

Very easy straightforward process. I was quoted a price for my car before it was collected. On the day it was collected I had a call when the person coming for it was about an hour away. My money was later transferred into my account. Easy Peasy. I would definitely recommend and use again.

“Superb Company”
I thought I would struggle to sell my Rav4 2007 after the dreaded head gasket failure. But within 20 minutes of filling the only quote request, I received a quote that would allow me to put a deposit on a new car. A few days later the Rav4 was gone and I had dosh in the bank. I can say with all honesty that the service this company supplies is second to none. (fact)

Such good a service, I was actually surprised.
My Volvo V50 had done 187,000 miles and the engine suddenly seized up and was irreparable. I thought I would get about £150 for scrap, but did a google search for “we buy non-runner cars”. The website sellthecar.co.uk came up and I put my details in. It only took a few minutes.
I stated I had a non-runner that had a seized engine. Recent MOT passed, 2 new tyres and new alternator. I received a text message within 5 minutes stating they would offer me £759.
I accepted and they put me in touch with a company called Co-part which picked my car up from the mechanic’s garage 2 days later. I have them my V5 document (ownership doc) and a short examination of my car was undertaken (5 mins). Car was then taken away.
Within 10mins I had a confirmatory phone call regarding my bank details and a payment was made directly to my account.
I checked my account later that day and the money had been recieved.
This was a remarkably good service, which I thoroughly recommend. I have since looked up the offers for my car if it had still been a “runner” and the best I found was £1600. Therefore £759 for a “non-runner” seemed a good price to me.
By the way, the staff from “Sell The Car” were very helpful too.

 had previously sold a car to another online purchasing organisation and felt I got ripped off as the value quoted was nothing like what they were eventually willing to pay. I was therefore a bit apprehensive about using this company. However, I'm very pleased with the service I received. The value quoted was competitive and was what was paid with no argument or haggling. The money was transferred to my account before they drove off with my vehicle and the collection was on the date promised. Would use again and would recommend.

Fantastic service.

Surpassed my expectations.
Were courteous, open and friendly. Explained the process and were transparent all the way.
A little confusing when it came to the collection (used a different company), but they were ok too.
Money took a bit longer than expected to reach my bank account (on the phone I was told it would be 'while the collection was ongoing', whereas in reality it was an hour or two later), but it was for the amount agreed with no issues.
Would use again.
